Dr. Alicia Rodriguez

Alicia G. Rodriguez, DDS, MAGD

Dr. Alicia Rodriguez is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Rodriguez has been in practice in Asheville since 1994.

Dr. Rodriguez is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Buncombe County Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, the UNC School of Dentistry Foundation and the Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College Allied Dental Programs Advisory Committee. She is the past president of the Buncombe County Dental Society and past president of the First District Component of the North Carolina Dental Society.

Dr. Rodriguez is the recipient of the 2005 North Carolina Dental Society Commendation Award, received Special Congressional Recognition for Outstanding Service in the Community in 2002 and received the Minority Health Care Provider of the Year in 2002.

Dr. Rodriguez believes in ongoing continuing education, surpassing the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners requirements for coursework. She has successfully completed the 5-year MasterTrack education program with the Academy of General Dentistry to earn the top honor of Master, Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD).

Dr. Rodriguez enjoys staying involved in her community. She has volunteered at the Asheville-Buncombe Christian Community Medical Ministries Clinic, the Mountain State Fair free clinic, and takes part in the Mission of Mercy dental programs. She served as chairperson during the first two years of the Give Kids a Smile Program, in which children in need received free dental care.

Dr. Rodriguez was part of the first Dental Access Day, sponsored by the North Carolina Dental Society, during which 70 dentists treated more than 900 patients in two days and delivered more than $252,000 dollars of free dental care. When Dr. Rodriguez is not serving as a dentist, she can be found leading the local Daisy Girl Scout troop, going outside to enjoy a long run and, most importantly, being a loving mom to her six-year old son!
